I think I've been away too long.
the keybank clock and temperature sign has always been on 2nd. but 2nd is so close to 1st there that it can seem to be on 1st. but that temp sign is usually so far off that i don't ever pay that one any attention. the one at denali bank, just out of view of the arctic cam is usually a lot closer to the real temperature.
such a nice evening here. we went out to hot licks and had ice cream cones. hot licks was a hopping place! such good ice cream too. i was stuck inside the store i work at all day. people kept coming into the store wearing shorts and tank tops. i thought to myself.... it CAN'T be that warm out. when i finally did get outside.... it WAS.
kathylovesalaska, you did a bad, bad thing telling me about Google Streets. ;-)
I remembered the Key Bank clock being at Cushman and First. When did they move it to Second?
I wish I was in Alaska. It looks like you mothers out there had a beautiful day. I had a great day with the family but we had to stay in because we had heavy rain and winds, with a tree blocking the driveway. Oh how I miss light rain and very little wind that Fairbanks got. Oh well. Soon I will be back.
tntmedic, I hope you made it safely to Fairbanks and had a wonderful first day. I'm hoping to see you wave at the camera. I'm a military wife also. Take care and enjoy your time in Alaska. I know I did.
Miganut, Thanks for the early morning hours video. It is heartening to see the taxi cabs coming and going while picking up patrons from the Big I. There was a time that drinkers were not that smart.
Hi Shd8233; I live in Lewiston I'm not quite sure where Waterboro is. I have heard of it but I can't seem to place it. When are you moving back to AK?
I have been in Maine since 1982 but was @ Loring Air Force base fore 10years.I think AK. and Maine are so beautiful.

Rose,
the web cam is inside the building, you can see it when you are standing in the parking lot looking up at the windows, Kathy
Hi Rose,
Good picture of the News-Miner Building, thank you, I am glad some one else can see the wafer cookies too.
Another good way to see the building is by going into "Google Streets", I can't remember which one of you told us about that site but I am loving it. Many thanks. And Happy Mothers Day ladies. Kathy
P.S. We are leaving Washington State tomorrow morning and crossing into Canada. We should arrive in Two Rivers, Ak on Wednesday. If I can still get on the internet as we are traveling I will let you know what we see along the way. Lots of Bears I hope!
tntmedic, when you know what time you'll be at the webcam, post it, and we'll try to meet you there if we have enough notice!
tntmedic: welcome to alaska! what time you gonna be in front of the cam? remember that I am 10 hours ahead of you, so something like noon or 1pm or so would be good for me...:-)
greetings to all from berlin,
frank
