Wedding: Campbell and Doan
Cortnie Campbell and Travis Doan were married Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at Birch Hill Cross Country Ski Center in Fairbanks, by close friend Richard Staley of North Pole. A reception followed at the same location.
Cortnie is the daughter of Greg Campbell and Gloria Finney of Fairbanks.
Travis is the son of Nixie Doan of Fairbanks and Donald Doan of Homer.
The maid of honor was the bride’s best friend, Meghan Kalmbacher of Sacramento, Calif. Bridesmaids were Michele Mock, Cortnie’s sister, Ashley Ritter, Erica Tomsha (RIP) and Elizabeth Woodward. The flower girls were Cortnie’s niece, Maykayla Mock, and Travis’s niece, Ryann Zimmerman.
The best man was the groom’s best friend, Scott Pulice of Anchorage. Groomsmen were Steve Anderson, Derek Ward, Jeremy Preslan and James McDermitt. Ring bearers were Cortnie’s nephews, Britton Mock and Denon Mock.
The couple took a two-week honeymoon in the Caribbean, and they plan on making Fairbanks their home.
Wedding: McDougall and McCubbin
Chelsea R. McDougall and David N. McCubbin of Anchorage are delighted to announce their wedding took place Oct. 3, 2009, at 6 p.m. at Settlers Bay Lodge with a reception immediately following.
Chelsea is the daughter of David and Linda McDougall of Wasilla. She graduated from Burchell High School in June 2009.
David is the son of Bernie and Christi DeSena of Wasilla. He graduated from Alaska Youth Academy in 2005. David is in the Air Force.
The couple enjoys spending time together thumb wrestling, watching movies, playing games and spending time with their family and friends.
The ceremony was officiated by Fabian J.N. Keirn of Fairbanks. The couple wrote their own vows and pledged their love to each other.
The bride’s best friend, Renae Thobe, was maid of honor, and her bridesmaids were her cousins, Audrianna Krenzelak and Ashlee McDougall, and good friend Danielle Mulloy. David’s brother, Josh McCubbin, was best man, and his good friends, Sean Mulloy, Casey Biggins and Jeremy Taylor were groomsmen.
Wedding: Dunn and Ebersole
On the Tanana Chief Sternwheeler, surrounded by family and friends, Valene Lee Dunn and Rodney Burton Ebersole II were happily married on Sept. 12, 2009.
The bride is the daughter of Wayne and Virginia Clark and is employed by Fairbanks Community Food Bank. The groom is the son of Rodney and Susan Ebersole and is employed by Water Wagon.
Rod and Valene are making their home in Fairbanks.
