Public Safety Report — July 6

The Public Safety Report is compiled from criminal complaints filed in state and federal courts, as well as some police blotter information, trooper dispatches, fire department reports and interviews with public safety officials. Individuals named as arrested and/or charged with crimes in this report are presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

Theft

• Approximately $6,000 worth of copper wire was reported stolen Wednesday from the Healy power plant. Alaska State Troopers believe the wire was taken sometime within the past month.

A reward may be offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of a suspect. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call troopers at 451-5100.

• Several bundles of 4-inch rigid foam were reported stolen Friday from the Tanana Valley campus of the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The foam is valued at about $4,000. Fairbanks police are investigating.
