Vehicle collision
A woman was treated for injuries following a car accident Thursday in Cantwell.
Irene Castano Trujillo, 30, crashed her Ford Escort near Mile 80 of the Denali Highway while trying to avoid an animal in the roadway. Her brakes locked, and the vehicle rolled into a ditch.
The woman was wearing a seatbelt, but sustained shoulder and rib injuries. She was also issued a citation for speeding.
