Public Safety Report - July 15

The Public Safety Report is compiled from criminal complaints filed in state and federal courts, as well as some police blotter information, trooper dispatches, fire department reports and interviews with public safety officials. Individuals named as arrested and/or charged with crimes in this report are presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.
Assault
• Darryl Clayton, 42, of Fairbanks was charged with three counts of third-degree assault stemming from allegations that over the weekend he grabbed a woman’s throat and later tried to run her off the road, court records stated.
• Aaron Bartholomew Waite-Ober, 27, of Fairbanks was charged with fourth-degree assault stemming from allegations he twice punched his roommate on Friday, court records stated.
• Godofredo Sinoben Jr., 30, of Fairbanks was charged with fourth-degree assault and criminal mischief based on allegations he pushed, punched and slapped his former girlfriend before breaking her window Saturday, court records stated.
Drugs
• James Ritter, 52, of North Pole was charged with fourth-degree drugs misconduct and driving with a suspended license Saturday.
Ritter was stopped for having tinted windows and studded tires, court records stated. He is accused of possessing bindles of cocaine along with drug paraphernalia and a digital scale.
• Jeremiah Burgess, 21, of Stevens Village was charged with fourth-degree drugs misconduct after Fairbanks police were called to an apartment Friday on a report of a fight.
During an interview with Burgess, an officer said he saw a plastic bag sticking out of Burgess’ pocket. The bag contained cocaine, court records stated.
DUI
• Nathan Addison, 21, of Fairbanks was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after authorities stopped him Sunday for improperly changing lanes.
Addison registered 0.132 on a chemical breath test, court records stated. The legal limit is 0.08.
• Leslianna Delain, 23, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Sunday after authorities stopped her at 1 a.m. for failing to use her headlights.
Delain registered 0.101 on a chemical breath test, records stated.
• Robert Sampson, 28, of Fairbanks was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, refusal to submit to a chemical breath test and driving with a suspended license. He was stopped Saturday for traffic violations.
Sampson registered 0.257 on a preliminary chemical breath test, court records stated.
• Denim Levi Krause, 27, of North Pole was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after authorities stopped him Saturday for improperly changing lanes.
Krause registered 0.125 on a chemical breath test, court records stated.
• Mariah Dean, 27, of Fairbanks was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and refusal to submit to a chemical breath test Friday after reckless driving complaints in South Fairbanks.
Dean was identified as the driver by multiple witnesses after attempting to hide in the boiler room of an apartment building, court records stated.
• Michelle Casavant, 50, of Fairbanks was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to stop at the direction of a peace officer Friday.
Casavant was stopped for running a red light and going the wrong way on a one-way road, court records stated. She is accused of twice driving off after the officer exited his vehicle to speak with her.
Casavant registered 0.310 on a chemical breath test, records stated.
• Daniel Corbett, 23, of North Pole was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Saturday after he was stopped for drifting outside his lane.
Corbett registered 0.160 on a chemical breath test, court records stated.
Indecent exposure
• A clean-cut man in his late teens or early 20s exposed himself from the driver’s seat of his older-model tan Mazda Sunday morning, according to Fairbanks police records.
The incident happened as a woman was walking along First Avenue near the Bridgewater Hotel, where she fled, police records stated. The man asked the woman if she wanted a ride.
Police records stated the man wore a red baseball cap and a blue shirt.
• Gary James John, 47, of Fairbanks was charged with indecent exposure and fourth-degree assault stemming from separate allegations.
The assault charge is based on a January complaint by a Community Service Patrol van driver that John punched the driver’s face as she helped him into the van, court records stated.
The more-recent indecent exposure allegation stems from a complaint that John twice exposed himself to a woman as he stood in front of a business on 14th Avenue, records stated.
Reckless driving
Duane Edward Roeder, 34, of Fairbanks was charged with reckless driving stemming from allegations he drove over a concrete barrier and hit a tree Saturday.
Roeder told authorities that he was sleep deprived and had been drinking, according to court records.
Crash with injuries
A 21-year-old man ran his 2006 Suzuki motorcycle off the road, totaling it, after turning his head to look behind him late Saturday, according to Alaska State Troopers.
Jonathan Cowell sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash at 35 Mile Steese Highway, a trooper report said. He was taken to Bassett Army Community Hospital for treatment.
