Denali – The Alaska Gas Pipeline names CFO

FAIRBANKS — Denali – The Alaska Gas Pipeline appointed Mehmet Muftuoglu as chief financial officer.

Mehmet was formerly based in London, where he managed ConocoPhillips’ treasury services for Europe, Africa, the Middle East and former Soviet Union countries.

Before transferring to London in 2004, Mehmet worked in the company’s treasury group in Houston, where his duties included advising on issues related to loan guarantees provided by the U.S. Congress for the Alaska gas pipeline.

Mehmet has a bachelor of science degree in management and operations research from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey, and a master’s degree in business administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
