Multiple charges

• On Thursday, Jerry Lee Donovan, of Barrow, was convicted of possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The evidence presented by prosecutors Bryan Schroder and Kim Sayers-Fay showed Donovan possessed methamphetamine when law enforcement officers searched his home with a search warrant on Dec. 8, 2004.

The drugs were packaged in individual bindles and straws for sale. Officers also found numerous firearms.

Donovan was prohibited from owning firearms due to two previous felony convictions, one of which was related to illegal drugs.

Judge Ralph R. Beistline scheduled sentencing for Oct. 10. The maximum sentence is 10 years in prison, a fine of $2,000,000 or both.

Pending sentence, the court ordered Donovan remain in custody.
