Indecent exposure
A woman walking near Club Alaskan on the Old Steese Highway reported a man in a pickup truck watching her and fondling himself just before 11:30 p.m. Thursday. Fairbanks police located the red Dodge pickup truck at the nearby Safeway store, but there was no sign of the driver, according to Fairbanks police records.
Sexual assault
• Fairbanks police were asked to investigate the possible sexual abuse of a local 2-year-old on Thursday. The name of a suspect was forwarded to police.
• A man told Fairbanks police that he was sodomized by two white males early Thursday morning.
The victim got in a car with the men in the 300 block of Charles Street.
Investigators did not have further information on the incident Friday afternoon.
Suspicious Circumstances
Fairbanks police were notified Wednesday after a young girl reported seeing a 17-year-old man in the girls bathroom at Anne Wien Elementary School.
The teen was there to pick up another student, and did not threaten the girl or appear to be doing anything inappropriate, said Fairbanks police Sgt. Robert Thompson. However, the girl was definitely startled to find the man in the bathroom, and it was unclear why exactly he was there.
The case has been forwarded to juvenile authorities for review, Thompson said.
Vehicle theft
• A silver 2003 Ford Mustang, Texas license plate T83VTS, was reported stolen Thursday morning from Chena Court Apartments.
• Alaska State Troopers received a report Monday that a green Yamaha Big Bear was stolen from the Tok area. The vehicle had previously been recovered by troopers in September, but the owners failed to retrieve the vehicle from its location.
