Allan Grant Doyle III, son of Patricia (Doyle) Morgan and the late Allan Grant Doyle Jr., graduated in May with a Bachelor of Science degree in prosthetics and orthopedics from the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. He is serving a two-year residency at the VA hospital in Dallas.
Doyle is a 1990 graduate of West Valley High School and lives with his family in Ennis, Texas.

Five members of the 3rd Military Police Battalion, 49th Civil Affairs Brigade, Alaska State Defense Force, were recently promoted.
Receiving promotions were John B. Carter to major; Jeffrey Crook to 1st lieutenant; Donald Zigga to chief warrant officer 3; Donald Payton to warrant officer 1; and Michael Sutherland to sergeant first class.
The Alaska State Defense Force traces its history to the Alaska Territorial Guard during World War II.
