This weekly publication, which lasted at least 19 weeks, is shown in this issue numbered volume 1, No. 19, of the Fairbanks TV Guide. The two TV stations, KFAR and KTVF, both started later in the day and ran until around midnight, with shows like "The Life of Riley," "Perry Como," "Lawrence Welk," "Gunsmoke," "Ozzie & Harriet" and more. There are great ads throughout the booklet, which was produced by editor and publisher Dalton Hay. The cover was used when statehood passed 50 years ago, with Alaska soon to become the 49th state in the union. — Candy Waugaman
