This real photo postcard was photographed by the Alaska Shop at the Nenana Railroad Depot and is captioned "Alaska Ry. Station — Nenana." Someone has written "Midnight Sun Excursion June 1926" on the card, and I would guess it was an event from Seward to Fairbanks to celebrate the solstice. Note the A.R.R. flags on the front of the engine … It would be great to find out if those have survived the 80-plus years since the excursion. — Candy Waugaman
