I don't know if this was a tea party or a wedding shower for one of the ladies in this 1921 photograph from the University of Alaska archives. The ladies' last names are all legible, except for the one on the far left. Second from left is Blaker, then Clegg, Collins, Sherman, Thelin and Edmunds. Mrs. Clegg's husband was made a judge in August 1921, so perhaps they are celebrating that appointment! — Candy Waugaman
