One minus 40 degree night in Fairbanks, I was tucking kids into bed and opened up a windowshade to see right next to me a moose. Its eye was as big as a pool ball! The head was almost two windows wide! She looked at me with the same surprise I had looking at her. Then pretty soon, I see right next to her is baby moose. These experiences are just one of the neat things that can happen when you live in Alaska!
