For those of us that follow video game new closely, this is the biggest week of the year, as companies announce all their big titles at the annual E3 conference. Microsoft is getting things underway right now with some giant announcements.
First off, E3 is no stranger to celebrities, but Microsoft may have topped everyone by starting their conference with an appearance by Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr to introduce "The Beatles: Rock Band." Sure, it's just Rock Band with a psychadelic Beatles coat of paint, but is there really anything wrong with that? Plus, the Xbox 360 is getting exclusive downloadable albums, starting with Abbey Road!
Microsoft showed off some expected footage from games we all knew were coming, like Final Fantasy XIII, and the way too long in development, Splinter Cell Conviction, but then the surprises started, and boy, do they look sweet.
Crackdown 2, the sequel to a criminally under-rated early 360 game is on the way! Even better, Left 4 Dead 2 is coming! There weren't even rumors about that one ahead of the show, but I think every shooter fan will want that at the end of the year.
And, just as I'm finishing up this post, they've announced yet another Halo sequel, besides ODST, something called "Halo Reach."
It's going to be hard for Sony and Nintendo to top this in the coming days...
You can check out all the big Microsoft announcements here.

Wooo for E3 and all they great new games and high tech toys that they will be showing. Its a great thing to watch the coverage on E3 get to learn about everything that is to come. And all I have to say about this yet another new Halo is Microsoft is trying way to hard to get every last penny that can for this game Halo 1, 2, and 3 where all good games but once I herd that Microsoft was making the Halo wars I lost hope for the game, Halo is a FPS not a real time stat game and it seemed that they took the game too far from where it started with that game. Also Halo 3 was about as high as that game could get it had improved on the last two and made the game overall better but you can only take a game so far before it turns into a played out series that no one is going to like (just as sonic did). But other then that I am waiting for all the goodies of this years E3 to become available which will be awhile saddly.
Starcraft 2....when oh WHEN will it be released?
