Legislative leadership is holding a 1 p.m. press conference to discuss the federal stimulus package and ways to increase public access to the money.
Leadership said earlier this week that they were scheduled to meet with Gov. Sarah Palin today. They wanted to discern what she might veto in the stimulus package, should lawmakers accept the entire package.
That way, they wouldn't waste their time accepting money she might decline to spend, or veto.
However, Palin is scheduled to appoint a new attorney general at a 1:30 press conference in Anchorage this afternoon.
It's not clear yet whether legislators were able to meet with Palin via phone or in person earlier today.
