Young hiker had to be rescued twice
Published Wednesday, August 26, 2009
The 19-year-old rescued the other day after a reckless trip to the old Fairbanks city bus where Chris McCandless died, had to be rescued earlier this summer and didn't learn his lesson.
The teen-ager is working for Princess this summer and the Daily Herald in suburban Chicago says that his employers have suggested he do some community service.
I would suggest that the tour companies highlight Don Carroll's serious mistakes and make them part of a presentation that should be given to all employees who don't understand how easily they could lose their lives.
