Geist Road traffic changes

•Geist Road at Thompson Drive was back to four lanes Saturday evening. Great Northwest replaced a sewer line.
•Happy anniversary to Al and Florence Weber. Now residents of the Pioneers Home, they are celebrating their 50th anniversary this weekend. And Florence celebrated her 88th birthday Wednesday.
Good thing Foodland is closed.They would really be suffering with the Gaffney road work going on.
Great planning -- now both main entrances to campus will have reduced access during the first day of new student orientation on campus!
Good grief, I had to run a "quick" errand to a doc. office at noon today, should have been 15 minutes there and back, it took a full 1/2 hour from all the detours. Crazy stuff.
Next time try to plan construction projects early in the season as to NOT interfere with Alaskans!
God forbid DOT work during the tourist season!
