The past and the present
It had been about 19 years since I last sat at a table in what used to be Harry’s Bar and Grill in downtown Sacramento. Now, on one night early last month and all these years later, the spot on that 4th Avenue corner was serving me a chicken Caesar salad rather than a Michelob.
Friday at the GOP
Just a word of thanks here to the Interior Republicans, who invited me to speak at their lunch this past Friday at the Westmark Hotel. I’m not the best at standing behind a podium, but the folks in the crowd made me feel welcome after just a few minutes.
