What would happen if you decided to throw a neighborhood party -- actually simultaneous parties in several adjoining neighborhoods. Starting time is 10 p.m., rain or shine. The main draw? Watching thousands of people running, jogging, walking, limping or hobbling in the streets.

Season of rainbows

Monday's intermittent showers provided a playground for rainbows. Over the course of three or four hours, arcs of color appeared against the clouds to the east, breaking and reforming as the rain moved through the Tanana Valley.
