Sticking it to skeeter season

I stopped at Creamer's Field to eat lunch this afternoon and found myself dodging a large, slow, but very persistent mosquito. I guess it's that time of year again. As I was leaving, I found myself behind a truck emblazoned with a bumper sticker that read:

"Alaska Mosquito Breeders Association. We breed them. You feed them."

It made my day. Bumper stickers, except for political statements, seem to have gone out of vogue, which is a shame. They were always good for a laugh. Some even made you think.

I saw one of my all-time favorite bumper stickers, also involving mosquitoes, in the Downtown Chicken Mercantile a couple of summers ago. It read:

"For the record, there is not a single mosquito in Chicken, Alaska. They are all married and have raised very large families. "
